Please take a moment to read the rules below.
1. This is a mature role playing game, which means there is a time and a place for sex, violence and swearing, so if you are easily offended best go away now. That being said, we will not tolerate any of the above just for the sake of it. They must be necessary for the continuation of the plot, and add something to the storyline. Too much of a good thing just gets tedious!
2. Just because you have posted a profile does NOT mean you have automatically been accepted to play. Please show some respect to the admin and WAIT for a confirmation post BEFORE you start posting your character. If for any reason the profile is not accepted, reasons will be given, along with suggestions to improve it. We don't say no just for the fun of it!
3. Posts are to be made in the THIRD PERSON, and in the PAST TENSE, ie: "Superman walked into the room and waggled his eyebrows at Lois Lane, who blushed furiously." Rather than, "I walk into the room and waggle my eyebrows at Lois, who blushes furiously, thinking I'm flirting with her, when actually I'm trying to point out that she has a piece of cabbage in her teeth."
4. God-modding is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. This means that a player cannot make another player's character say or do anything at all. If a player wishes for another to god mod their character, permission must be posted on the OOC board so that we know about it! Otherwise the post(s) in question WILL BE REMOVED. This INCLUDES attempts to control another player's character by manipulating them into situations. If you have a plot idea, post it on the OOC board to all players who might be involved, rather than going ahead with it and expecting said players to comply without prior knowledge. They might have other plans for their characters at that time.
5. We DO require joining posts from ALL players, even if they already have characters on the board. This prevents any confusion about who is playing which character, and whether a canon character is free to play.
6. This is a bit of a difficult rule, since characters will come from different backgrounds and therefore have different skills/gifts/special powers. Use your common sense ~ we don't want to curb your imaginations too much, but on the other hand we can't have characters running round burning baddies to death with their laser eyes just for the fun of it! Make sure you write down EVERY skill and power in your joining post, as anything that comes to light later on in the game will be questioned, and possibly disallowed. If we question something in your joining post, please be aware that we have our reasons for doing so, and are not just being awkward. We have been role playing for a LOOOOOOONG time, and have seen many good games ruined through lack of thought or tardy management. Trust us, we know best Precious...
7. We are all here to have fun, and therefore we should all try to get along. Any flaming of another player will be frowned upon, and any outright snide remarks or arguments in OOC will result in the players involved to receive ONE written warning, followed by a total ban.
8. Intermediate and advanced RPers are welcome, but complete beginners will not be turned away, provided they are willing to learn and take advice. We can all learn a lot from each other, so let's all play nice and HAVE FUN!!!
