Name: Kolya (Nikolai)
Age: 39
Appearance: Tall, broad - strong, quite a blocky frame. Kolya has masculinity oozing from every pore. He has dark, smouldering blue eyes and a strong, angled jaw hidden behind a reddish colored beard. His hair has grown rather longish of late and is speckled with a vivid array of colors spanning from red to grey.
His body is cut. Every muscle is honed to perfection and the scars upon his body only add definition to his features. There is a scar that runs outwards from the corner of his right eye and arcs down the top of his cheek - the only scar that seems out of place on his body in truth. Kolya’s clothing is simple - leathers and furs. His armour is kept safe in his saddlebags.
Weapons & Accessories: Short-bow, long-sword & mace. Kolya wears small pendant of a pig about his neck and thick wooden rings on each of his index fingers.
Personality: …. Uncultured. Grouchy. Rough.
Kolya is not very good with people. He is sour and irresponsible but does take direct orders if issued by a worthy mouth. He refuses to take responsibility for any of the wrongs he has done in his lifetime. Kolya is bitter over his past and the things he has been forced into under the service of Rohan. He is a lost soul and wanders in the hopes of finding some sort of purpose to his aimless life. Kolya is fond of beer and women though his respect for either leaves A LOT to be desired. Having said that, he can be quite popular with women, having a charming smile when he chooses to engage it and his confidence lending an attractiveness to his personality that is otherwise quite flawed.
Despite all this - there used to be a soft, gentle man in Kolya which may still linger beneath his cold, hard exterior. He has an uncanny way with horses, knowing how to train and heal and ride and care for them.
Kolya’s objectives in life are simple to the point of pathetic. Ale and a place to rest his head is about all he aims for in life.

History:
Nikolai was the eldest son of his parents. He was born in Rohan to a poor family but he had such a skill with horses that he was recruited to the cavalry that defended the horseland. Unfortunately he was one of first of the Rohirrim that was expelled from the Kingdom of Rohan when King Theoden was under the influence of Wormtongue. When he left, his wife and son were both taken and killed as part of the purge, leaving Kolya with a deep sense of betrayal.
He fought alongside Eomer but lost his way once peace came to Middle Earth. He has fathered a child by a ***** but will not claim her, insisting that she cuold be anyone's child. He has a deep, festering hatred of Rohan and blames Theoden and Rohan for the misery of his life now having taken him from his home. He tried to return to Rohan from Gondor once already but realised that there was nothing back there for him either. For the past 7 years he has been wandering Middle Earth looking for a purpose - currently working in Gondor as part of the Castle Guard at Minis Tirith.
Kolya is resentful of the girl, Mari, and refuses to acknowledge, protect or be kind to her. The man has spent some time in prisons though never for very long periods, and always for minor crimes like theft and disorderly conduct.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
Skilled horseman - skilled warrior. Kolya is upfront and honest to the point of cruelty. He likes the booze a little too much and his judgement is often impaired under the influence of alcohol - but his ability to wield a mace with brutal force is never impaired.
Kolya has an almost outlandish healing touch with horses, an understanding that goes beyond mere words and actions.
