PLOT!!!

Ok, I'm fed up with keep forgetting it!

Tell me if there's anything to add or if I'm wildly off with my thunks...


Sauron is about to get a body again (will post him doing some such soon, and btw do you want to be Mouth? I think we may have discussed that before but I can't remember ). Meanwhile Mouth will be leading various Orcs against the city.

To get home the guys have to get the crystal, and to get the crystal they have to defeat Sauron. To defeat Sauron they have to destroy all the rings of power, AND kill his bodily... body with Anduril.

SO:

Faramir volunteers to go and find Aragorn and get the sword (ulterior motive to find Eowyn again).

Haldir has to get to Valinor to get the three rings from the dudes there. Eledhwen wants to go too.

Someone has to find the dwarfs and get their rings, and someone else has to get the rings from whoever has got the Nazgul ones now (Sauron?)

Problems:

1. How to gate to Valinor - maybe Mark or DJ can manage to get it to work just to there, or like you say there might be a gate which only goes there, and maybe only Haldir knows where it is because it's hidden in Lothlorien or something.

2. Who goes on what mission?

3. Who has got the Nazgul/human rings? Where are they?

4. What happened to the dwarf rings in the LotR books? Can't remember, and nothing was made of them in the movies... they could be guarded by a dragon or something...

What else???

Yeah I had said about playing Mouth but then you wrote him a few times nad I thought it was too funny to interrupt!!! If you want me to write a baddy though I can I would love you to write mouth though, it's hilarious!

And ok -
1. Yeah, maybe Mark can figure out a way of redialling the last number or something - heh, that would give him some awesome reason to be on the trip. Why did he come along again ? Might as well use him for his purpose, right?!

2. Who goes on what mission - I dunno!! I dont raelly wanna seperate them hugely cause it is much more funner when they can all interact. I am thinking Elendur will want to go with one of the groups *eyeroll* Maybe West's *bats eyelashes* We'll figure out teams though... We need a group to go to Valinor with Haldir, a group to go with Faramir to get Anduril, a group to go poke the dwarf dragon (awesome idea!) and get the rings that it is protecting - somehow. A group to get the Nazgul rings ( how the hell will they get them?!?!!) and a group then to remain behind and defend Gondor! I am thinking that maybe the group that goes to the dwarves will also go to the nazgul or anduril or something like that, like multi-tasking, and maybe they can meet up there or somethign ya know? Or they could all go elsewhere and then meet up at the gate for to go through to Valinor?

3. Nazgul/human rings -- I have NO idea. Let's come up with something though. I'll post here if I have any inspirational ideas! Maybe wizards... or rangers... or .... or ... Hobbits?

4. DRAGON! Totally awesome idea! Let's say the Dwarves left them under a Dragon which has been asleep for bazillions of years or something and they have to wake the dragon to get the rings from underneath it or something silly like that! That could be a Kawalsky moment - his extra-sensory-wolfy-powers could come in useful for identifying that the dragon IS alive though it appears to be made of stone or something?

This was a good idea to write it all down!

Ok, I think they should all have a restful ( ) evening, get a good night's sleep, then in the morning Bozza can call a meeting to decide what to do. Haldir can say what they've got to do and West can decide who's going where.

I think that's a good idea about Mark being able to figure how to dial the last number for the gate. It'll do anyway - it's not like it's going on telly!! Oh yeah, I think they sent Mark through with Gypsy cos they hadn't heard from West's team so they thought there might be something wrong with the gate. And Sauron's got the crystal

So, we've got:

Ooh ooh!! Oh no that wouldn't work... Was gonna say Denethor can send Elendur to spy on Faramir cos he don't trust him, and say that Miriel has to go too in case his precious daughter gets a spot or suffin But he would prolly send Eonin instead ay?


Anyway, back to who's going where:

I think the nine rings would be in Sauron's keeping because he would have the Nazgul, or if they're destroyed Sauron would have the rings anyway.

So:

Get the Dwarf rings
Get the Elf rings
Get the Sword
Get the Nazgul rings AND kill Sauron all at once...

For the Elf rings I think Mark or DJ should definitely go in case they have a problem with the gate the other end. And Haldir and Eledhwen obviously.

The sword - Faramir defo.

The Dwarf rings Bozza will have to go cos he's the only 'native' left!

And then they could meet up with the rings/sword and kill Sauron.

So that would be three parties...

OR:

Two parties - one to Valinor and the other to get the Dwarf rings en route to get the sword, then all meet up again to kill Sauron.

What think ye?

We definitely gotta have Thrace and Lake in the same party, and Haldir and Ele in one... and it would be funny if Mark was in the same one as Lake and Thrace

Faramir isn't Denethor's son!!! That's why he hates him so much! He's the son of an ELF!!! That's why he's so sensitive and pale and ethereal and... stuff

Mrs Denethor could have had a fling or something... or run off with an Elf but then gone back, or the Elf could have been Denethor's trusted companion and betrayed him, or... something...

How cool would that be though? It would explain LOADS!!!!

He could find out when they go to Valinor! OR Haldir knows already!!!

While they are gone the city gets raided again and for some weird reason Miriel and Mari (maybe they are in the infirmary together or out picking herbs! ) are the only two to escape. They take it upon themselves to go after the others to tell them to get a move on Eonan too if you want her out there?

And... the problem of gating to Valinor without the crystal:


There is a special seperate crystal that is used to gate there instead of the other one and... wait for it... HALDIR WAS ENTRUSTED WITH IT WHEN THE ELVES LEFT!!!!!!!!!

What about if the sword party and the Valinor party are the same? They go get the sword then on to the Elves with it... to prove that they are in need of the rings? Just thinking so that Faramir can go there too to find out about his real parentage! And maybe Haldir would want West there as leader of the off-worlders? The Dwarf mountain could be further away or something, or the other direction

Ooh! No! I'm thinking sensibly Mark would go to Valinor (gatey stuff) and Kawalsky wouldn't (wolfy stuff- suspicious Elves!!) so he would go with Thrace and Lake. He could act as referee... what d'ya think?

Ok - so Haldir has the special crystal to use the gate to Valinor but this crystal only allows gating to Valinor. I like the idear of the teams as well!
The Dwarfish mountain is maybe in the other direction, yeah - and the sword and valinor taem aught to be the same - maybe they go so far together and then something happens, Eonan, Miriel and Mari catch up perhaps? And tell them that the city has been razed so they decide to stick together and go to get the sword, then backtrack to the gate to go to Valinor?

So the teams are:
Dwarves: Boromir leading, Lake, Thrace, Kawalsky
Valinor: Haldir leading, Eledhwen, Gypsy, Mark
Sword: Faramir leading, West, DJ, Elendur

What about... Eskel tries to persuade Aragorn to go back, but he won't. Meanwhile there are rumours of these new strange people that have come to help them defeat Sauron, so Eskel sets out to Minis Tirith alone to help and/or tell them where Aragorn is. He meets up with the Valinor lot on the way . He tells them about Aragorn, and so they make a detour to get the sword thinking the others might not reach him in time. They meet the girls on the way.

Meanwhile the sword lot have found Aragorn, got the sword and Aragorn, and meet the others on the way back so they all go to Valinor, thinking Aragorn might hold some sway over the Elves.

How's that?

Looking at the map, I'm thinking they can travel together until just before the gate more or less, then part to go on their separate missions...

*reads back over the plotline*

If they all go together nearly as far as the gate, say for a day or so, then they split up to go their own ways (at this point there are still three teams), then the Valinor lot meet Eskel as they get to the gate and he tells them about Aragorn. He tells them Aragorn was north-west of the gate, so they carry on to find him. The sword lot have gone north and then turned west after asking somone if they've seen Aragorn, so they actually reach him first as Aragorn has decided to return to Minis Tirith...

If that makes any sense at all...

So, they meet the others on their way back, and then they all head for the gate.

Meanwhile Sauron has attacked the city and the girls have escaped, heading for the gate. They all meet up there.

Which means everyone is together except for Thrace, Lake, Mark and Boromir...

So... if you want Eskel to speak to Aragorn before he leaves Uni, then hang around and we'll get a move on with him and Eowyn

And then I make him travel for a day and then meet with the group yes? sorry my mind isn't working today....

And TJ you suggested Eskel runing into Mouth at the other thread! Wow that would be great scene to write!! I would like that very much....

Once Aragorn and Eowyn go to sleep you could post Eskel in the Aragorn thread to speak to him in the morning... then in the day 3 thread once he sets out? I guess that would work fine. And I'll see if Mouth is hungry...
